These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of VocabLogs ("the App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Description of Service

The App is an AI-powered vocabulary learning application. It provides the following features:

• AI-powered vocabulary extraction from text and images
• Spaced repetition learning based on the forgetting curve
• Pronunciation checking
• Multiple-choice quizzes
• AI-generated definitions and example sentences
• Support for 10 languages (English, Japanese, French, Spanish, German, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Italian)

3. Terms of Use

• The App is provided free of charge.
• A compatible iOS device is required to use the App.
• An internet connection is required for AI-powered features such as vocabulary extraction, auto-fill definitions, example sentence generation, text translation, and OCR.
• Basic features such as flashcard review and multiple-choice quizzes are available offline.
• No account registration is required.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

• AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate material.
• We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content.
• Users are encouraged to independently verify AI-generated content.
• The App is a learning aid and is not a substitute for professional language education.

5. Intellectual Property

• All intellectual property rights in the App's design, code, brand, and icons belong to the developer.
• User-created content such as word lists and settings belong to the user.
• Users can retrieve their data at any time through the export feature in Settings.

6. Prohibited Activities

Users must not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App's API proxy service for purposes other than the App
• Place excessive load on the App's server infrastructure
• Use the App for any illegal purpose

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

• The App is provided "AS-IS." We make no warranties, express or implied.
• We are not responsible for data loss. We recommend regularly backing up important data using the export feature.
• We are not responsible for feature unavailability due to network failures or third-party service outages.
• We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the App.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as needed. If significant changes are made, we will notify users through app updates. Updated Terms take effect upon publication on this page.

9. Governing Law
